Hey! Long story short, I've recently found out that the Sentinelese tribe exists and I'm totally fascinated by them. I read about as much as I could find online and I'd still like to know more. I read that there's a book titled "The Sentinelese" written by TN Pandit (it's my understanding that he lead several successful anthropological expeditions to contact them and learn what they could). The issue I am running into is that I can't seem to find many copies and when I am able to locate one there are stipulations that make it impossible for me to see the book.
For anyone who would like to help, this is where I have left off: https://www.worldcat.org/title/sentinelese/oclc/24438323
They have a copy at the Johns Hopkins library (super close!) but it's my understanding that I can't get on the premises without a J-Card. I called the library to ask anyway, but they didn't return my call.
I think I saw a copy at the Library of Congress, but as far as I know you need some type of clearance to even access their site.
So maybe this post is a long shot. I do want to mention that I absolutely don't want the book. I just want to read it in any form. In fact, because it seems that there's a tight watch on it, I don't actually want to possess the book at any point if possible. I'd be more than thrilled with scanned pages or a virtual copy of the contents.
My last resort would be to contact the author. Apparently he's still alive (I think like 90), but English isn't his native language and I'm sure he's got better things to do with his time.
