Technical Assistance for a Start-Up Worker-Owned Cooperative

I'm part of a start-up, worker-owned cooperative comprising a small team with lots of talent, ambition, and passion for our work, but limited time and capital to make it happen. We are on the precipice of launching something great that will have a lasting, transformative impact on Baltimore's grassroots organizations, community-anchored NGOs, cooperators, activists, and the broader solidarity economy. To keep doing this work, without burning out or making poorly-informed decisions, I'm calling on our community for advice or referrals for folks with experience forged in activism, solidarity, cooperation, and/or social justice with expertise in the following areas: - Cooperative Development, especially Service-Based or Platform Co-ops - Legal Formations & Business Taxation for Co-ops - Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Patronage for Co-ops - Full-Stack Software Development, UX/UI, Agile Development - Data Analytics, Mapping, and Tagging - Data Privacy + Security - Workflow Automation (not powered by "Big AI") - Self-Hosted Database Management -or- Highly-Encrypted & Ethical Cloudhosting Options - Participatory Action Research / Warm Data / Data Walks - Liberatory, Anti-Oppressive Evaluation Frameworks If you have expertise in any of these areas and would like to learn more about what we're doing and how you can support, please contact me, Amber, at [email protected] and mention the "Let's Bmore Timebank" in the subject or message.
