I have been filing my own taxes and that of friends and relatives for decades now - joint, single, state and federal, small business, daycare, rental properties, EITC, etc.  I worked for Liberty Tax in the past, and also became an independently licensed MD federal tax professional a few years back - 2016 when the requirement was 1st made for licensing for paid tax prep.  I was going to start my own tax prep business but then changed my mind.  I can help you file with free-file by the IRS to get a faster refund.  Since I receive no payment, as this is strictly volunteer, my lapsed licensed status does not matter.   I can help with prior year/amended returns/audits, injured spouse relief, self-employment, obtaining an EIN, time-space calculations for those working from home/home office or home based business, deductions/depreciation/section 179/listed property/dependents - including non-related household members of any age as dependents and foster or adopted children, help with charitable gifts both monetary and material, volunteer work/travel, actual cost vs mileage on autos used in business, EITC - you may qualify even if you think you have no "earned income" - babysitters/gig workers/unlicensed laborers/handymen - even if you have not paid taxes on the income - I can help.
